Understanding Functional Health

Visual breakdowns of how our approach works and why it gets results.

From Surviving To Living

You've been told your labs are "normal"...
but you don't feel normal.

Or—you're doing everything right... and still not getting results.

Something is being missed.

Why This Happens

Most clinics treat one isolated piece.

Stress
Metabolism
Hormones
Your body doesn't work in isolation—and neither do we.

This Is Not Your Routine Physical

We use comprehensive functional lab work to look deeper than standard care. We assess adrenals, metabolism, thyroid, and hormones to identify dysfunction—not just disease.

Insurance labs look for problems.
We look for why your body isn't performing.

Everything you need to know before getting started

Getting Started

To begin:

  • Labs: $350
  • Initial Consult (60 minutes): $300

During your consult, we will:

  • Review your labs in detail
  • Identify root causes
  • Build your personalized plan
  • Discuss treatment options and next steps
We also offer a referral program: $100 off your consult + $100 off one month of service for the person who referred you.

We are a cash-based practice, which allows us to spend more time with you, look deeper into your health, and create truly personalized plans without the limitations of insurance-based care.

We accept all major forms of payment (credit/debit/HSA/FSA where applicable).

While we do not bill insurance, you are welcome to submit receipts for potential reimbursement depending on your plan.

Ongoing care is structured through monthly membership-based plans, designed to provide consistency, accountability, and results.

Most patients fall into: $200–$360/month, depending on their plan.

These plans may include:

  • Medications (when appropriate)
  • Supplies
  • Follow-up visits (typically every 3 months)
  • Ongoing clinical oversight and communication
  • Routine lab monitoring (usually every 6 months)
We will walk through all options during your consultation so you can make an informed decision—no pressure, just clarity.

Once your intake forms are complete, your lab requisition is typically sent within 48–72 hours.

From there:

  • Labs are completed
  • Results are returned
  • Your consult is scheduled

Most patients are fully onboarded within 2–3 weeks, depending on lab timing.

Once you book:

  1. You'll receive intake forms via our portal
  2. Your lab requisition will be sent within 48–72 hours
  3. You'll complete labs (timing matters—we'll guide you)
  4. Your consult will be scheduled after labs are completed

We guide you through every step so nothing feels confusing or overwhelming.

Labs & Consultations

We love that you're being proactive with your health and we absolutely review any prior labs for trend analysis.

However, all new patients are required to complete our foundational lab panel ($350) prior to their initial consultation.

Why this matters:

  • It ensures we're looking at the right markers
  • It allows us to interpret your labs through an optimal (not just "normal") lens
  • It creates a consistent baseline so we can track real progress over time
Think of it less as repeating labs—and more as finally getting the full picture.

Yes—labs are required before your initial consultation. This is intentional.

We don't do surface-level visits or generic recommendations. Your consult is designed to be:

  • Specific
  • Data-driven
  • Immediately actionable

Having your labs completed beforehand allows us to use your time efficiently and provide real answers—not guesswork.

If clinically appropriate, yes.

However, our approach is not built around quick prescriptions. We focus on:

  • Understanding root causes
  • Reviewing your full lab picture
  • Making thoughtful, individualized decisions

Some patients begin treatment right away, while others start with foundational changes first.

Services & Approach

We focus on root-cause, performance-driven healthcare—not symptom management. Our services include:

  • Comprehensive lab analysis
  • Hormone optimization (TRT, BHRT when appropriate)
  • Peptide education and clinical oversight
  • Metabolic health and insulin resistance support
  • Fatigue, stress, and recovery optimization
  • Personalized nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle strategies

Our approach is data-driven, individualized, and focused on long-term results—not temporary fixes.

We are not a replacement for your PCP. We are a specialized, complementary layer of care.

The difference:

  • PCP = disease management
  • Functional Health Warriors = optimization and root cause

We look deeper, spend more time, and focus on helping you feel better, perform better, and understand your body.

We don't just look for disease—we look for why your body isn't functioning optimally. That means:

  • Deeper lab analysis
  • Focus on optimal ranges
  • Connecting systems, not isolating symptoms
  • Building a plan that evolves with you

This is a different model of care—and it's meant to be.

Short answer: No—we don't practice that way.

We don't provide isolated treatments without understanding the full picture. Because:

  • Hormones don't exist in a vacuum
  • Metabolism, stress, thyroid, and inflammation all matter
  • Skipping that step leads to poor outcomes long-term

If you're looking for a quick prescription without deeper evaluation, we're probably not the right fit.

Yes, we're happy to collaborate with your PCP or specialists when needed.

We see ourselves as a complement to your existing care, not a replacement.

Fit & Commitment

Our best patients are:

  • Ready to invest in their health
  • Open to education and lifestyle changes
  • Consistent and committed
  • Looking for long-term transformation, not quick fixes

If you're looking for instant results, one-time prescriptions, or minimal involvement—we may not be the right fit, and we respect that.

We primarily work with adults (18+) who are ready to take ownership of their health. Our patients are typically individuals who:

  • Feel like something is "off" but haven't found answers
  • Want to improve energy, metabolism, hormones, or body composition
  • Are motivated to make lifestyle changes—not just rely on quick fixes

If you're looking for a passive approach, we may not be the best fit—and that's okay.

Very. This is a collaborative process, not a passive one.

The patients who get the best results are the ones who:

  • Stay engaged
  • Follow through
  • Communicate openly

We bring the expertise—you bring the consistency.

We're designed for ongoing care and real results—not one-time visits.

While you'll receive a full plan at your initial consult, true progress requires:

  • Follow-up
  • Lab monitoring
  • Adjustments over time

Health isn't a one-and-done process—and we don't pretend it is.

Because our programs include medications, supplies, and clinical oversight, they are structured in care cycles (typically 2–3 months).

We're always happy to discuss your plan and make sure it's the right fit—but immediate cancellations may not be feasible once services and medications have been provided.

That's completely okay. This type of care works best when you're:

  • Ready to take ownership
  • Open to change
  • Willing to invest in your health

If you're still exploring, we recommend starting with a Meet & Greet call to see if this feels like the right fit.

Results & Support

You're actually the exact person we tend to help the most.

Most of our patients come to us after:

  • Being told their labs are "normal"
  • Trying multiple approaches without success
  • Feeling dismissed or stuck

We look deeper, connect patterns, and build a plan that actually makes sense for your body.

We don't guarantee outcomes—but we do guarantee:

  • A thorough, data-driven approach
  • Personalized care
  • Ongoing support and adjustments

Your results depend on consistency, follow-through, and your body's unique response—but we're with you every step of the way.

We respond to messages within 48–72 business hours.

Business hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

We appreciate your patience as we give each patient thoughtful, individualized care.

We primarily serve patients in Ohio and Florida, with expanding availability in other states through telehealth.

If you are outside of our current service area, we encourage you to submit your information and let us know your state. We're actively growing and will notify you as soon as services become available in your area.

We work with that all the time. We'll guide you on:

  • Proper lab timing
  • Sleep and recovery strategies
  • Adjustments based on your schedule

Your plan is built around your real life—not the other way around.
